Members of the Wensleydale Young Farmers Club with Bob Dixon Chairman Wensleydale Show Committee.

Following a suggestion by Mike Warden of the show committee, a bursary was offered to young farmers’ clubs in the area. A successful application by Wensleydale Young Farmers Club gained them a £500 cash gift.
The club is to use the money to provide training in the safe use of quad bikes for the young people who are their members.
Chairman of Wensleydale Show Bob Dixon visited a Young Farmers’ meeting to see the training for himself and was pleased with how they had used the cash.
Young farmers clubs are for young people between the ages of 10 and 26 to learn more on aspects of farming, have fun, rally days and quizzes. The clubs are for anybody not just farming families; for more information visit their Facebook page.
